About
RatedEyewear publishes US-English guides to eye protection and performance eyewear. The job of a page is to say what a label means when it is checked against the published standard for that activity.
The site is not a store and not a test lab. Guides compare published standards, manufacturer specification pages, and recognized eye-health or injury sources. They do not claim hands-on testing, impact testing, or optical-lab results unless a specific page says that work was done and describes it.
Editing
Drafting may use AI tools. A human editor is responsible for what is published and approves each page. Authors are named on the guides they write. This about page does not invent credentials.
What we do not do
- We do not give medical advice. An eye injury needs medical care.
- We do not guarantee workplace or legal compliance. For work eyewear, follow OSHA and the employer’s requirements.
- We do not publish firearms, ammunition, or military content. Range and airsoft pages stay on eye protection and field rules.
How ratings, sources, affiliates, and corrections work is on the editorial policy page. The full text of these pages is edited in the content studio; this copy is the fallback used when that document is empty.
